White Beans with Pork
Ingredients
1 kilogram of White beans
1 kilogram of Pork shoulder
½ kilogram of Bacon
3 tablespoons of Butter
2 cups of Diced carrots
2 Green plantains, in pieces
2 Celery stalks
2 Culantro leaves
1 cup of Chopped onion
1 tablespoon of Garlic paste
3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon of Sugar
2 tablespoons of Beef rib broth
2 tablespoons of Seasoning mix
1 tablespoon of Achiote
1 pinch of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : Soak the beans one hour before preparation.
Step 2 : Then, cook them until slightly tender, at which point add the pork, plantains, carrots, and all seasonings.
Step 3 : In a separate container, finely chop the bacon into cubes and brown it in butter along with the caramelized onion.
Step 4 : Once all ingredients are cooked to perfection, mix the bacon with the beans, adding finely chopped celery and culantro.
Step 5 : Finally, the dish is ready to be served.
