Corn and Tender Chayote Stew
Ingredients
3 Tender chayotes
3 Tender corn
1 Chopped onion
½ cup of Milk
2 tablespoons of Butter
1 teaspoon of Aceptadas
1 teaspoon of Annatto
¼ teaspoon of Chopped garlic
1 teaspoon of Sweet chili
1 teaspoon of Salt
¼ Chopped bell pepper
1 Chicken consommé cube
1 tablespoon of Sugar
Preparation
Step 1 : Start by peeling and chopping the chayotes into small squares, and cutting the corn kernels with a knife.
Step 2 : Then, in a pot over medium heat, sauté the butter, oil, and annatto along with the onion, garlic, and sweet chili.
Step 3 : Add the corn kernels and cover the pot, letting it cook for 10 minutes.
Step 4 : Then add the chopped chayote, salt, pepper, and consommé.
Step 5 : Cover the pot again and lower the temperature to soften the ingredients.
Step 6 : Finally, add the milk and sugar, let it sit uncovered for a few minutes, remove from heat, and serve immediately.
