Cinnamon Atole
Ingredients
4 cups of Fresh milk
2 Cinnamon sticks
2 Tablespoons of sugar
4 teaspoons of Cornstarch
½ cup of Water
Ground cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1 : In a deep saucepan, place the milk, cinnamon, and sugar, and cook over low heat.
Step 2 : In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup of water with the cornstarch and dissolve until you obtain a white mixture.
Step 3 : When the milk boils for the first time, add the dissolved cornstarch and stir with a spoon until achieving a viscous consistency.
Step 4 : Serve the hot atole in a cup or mug and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
Step 5 : Serve with sweet bread or toasted bread with butter.
