Ingredients

1 kilogram of Flour

4 Margarine bars

2 cups of Water

2 teaspoons of Sugar

2 teaspoons of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : First, mix by hand the flour, two bars of margarine, sugar, and salt until obtaining a homogeneous mixture.

Step 2 : Then, make a hole in the center of the mixture and gradually incorporate the water until reaching the desired consistency.

Step 3 : Once the dough is ready, roll it out a bit with a rolling pin and mark the center with a cross.

Step 4 : In that mark, place two bars of margarine that are then covered with the dough tips.

Step 5 : Roll out the dough again with the rolling pin, shape it into a ball, and repeat this process two more times.

Step 6 : After completing the dough stretching process, cover it and let it rest for 1 to 2 hours.

Step 7 : Then, roll out the dough again and cut circles to form the empanadas.

Step 8 : These can be filled with pineapple and/or strawberry jam.

Step 9 : To bake the empanadas, preheat the oven to 360 degrees for ten minutes and bake the empanadas for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 10 : It is important to note that the dough used for these empanadas can be used in both sweet and savory recipes in baking.
