Lemon Peel Sweet
Ingredients
1 ½ kilogram of Lemon
½ kilogram of Sugar
1 Cinnamon stick
2 Cloves
Allspice leaf
Preparation
Step 1 : The lemon is washed and cut into quarters.
Step 2 : Only the peel is used, which is cooked in water with salt and 2 teaspoons of baking soda until soft.
Step 3 : Then, remove from heat and rinse several times.
Step 4 : Subsequently, about 20 lemon peels are placed in 2 cups of water with half of the sugar, 2 cinnamon sticks, and 1 allspice leaf, and let it rest for about 20 minutes.
Step 5 : Finally, add the remaining sugar and cook until the syrup thickens and acquires a thick consistency.
