Guava Empanadas
Ingredients
1 kilogram of Guava
3 cups of Sugar
6 cups of All-purpose flour
6 Eggs
1 Stick of margarine
6 teaspoons of Baking powder
1 teaspoon of Salt
1 cup of Sugar
½ cup of Milk
Preparation
Step 1 : Peel the guavas and cook the pulp with sugar until thickened.
Step 2 : Then sift the dry ingredients and mix with melted margarine.
Step 3 : Add the eggs and beat with a hand mixer, gradually incorporating the milk until a smooth dough is obtained.
Step 4 : After resting, roll out the dough and form a 30-centimeter diameter disk.
Step 5 : Spread a little guava jelly, fold, and adjust the edge as desired.
Step 6 : Finally, bake at 280°C for about 25 minutes.
