Coconut cajetas
Ingredients
200 grams of Unsalted butter
2 cups of Shredded coconut
15 Crushed maria or sweet cookies
2 cups of Condensed milk
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
Preparation
Step 1 : In a steel pot, heat 250 grams of butter, 2 cups of condensed milk, and 2 cups of shredded coconut.
Step 2 : Stir the mixture until golden brown and then remove from heat.
Step 3 : Next, add 15 crushed Maria cookies to the mixture and heat again until thickened.
Step 4 : Let the mixture rest.
Step 5 : Finally, form balls with the dough and coat them with shredded coconut.
Step 6 : Chill the balls in the fridge before serving.
