Ingredients

2 cups of Yellow corn

½ cup of Evaporated milk

½ cup of Sugar

¼ cup of Wheat flour

3 tablespoons of Oil

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the corn tortillas, first remove the corn from the can and drain it completely.

Step 2 : If using corn on the cob, remove the kernels with a sharp knife before proceeding.

Step 3 : Once this is done, place the corn in the blender along with the flour, Evaporated milk, and salt (or sugar), and blend everything until a smooth and homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Step 4 : Next, preheat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil to prevent the mixture from sticking.

Step 5 : Then, pour the corn mixture into the skillet, spreading it so that it forms a layer of approximately 1/4 inch thick, forming a round tortilla.

Step 6 : Reduce the heat to low and cover the mixture with a lid so that it cooks evenly.

Step 7 : Once ready, remove from heat and set aside.

Step 8 : Repeat the process with the rest of the mixture until all the dough has been used, making sure to cook each tortilla on both sides so they are well cooked and golden brown.
