Chiverre Empanadas
Ingredients
300 grams of Butter
125 milliliters of Sweet cream
2 cups of Flour
1 teaspoon of Sugar
2 tablespoons of Cinnamon
1 Jar of chiverre honey
1 Egg yolk for glazing
1 pinch of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare the empanadas, start by sifting flour with cinnamon.
Step 2 : In a large bowl, mix the butter with the sweet cream and incorporate the sifted flour, salt, and sugar.
Step 3 : Place the resulting dough in the fridge to chill for about 20 minutes.
Step 4 : After this time, roll out the dough on a floured surface and with the help of a cutter, form circles.
Step 5 : Each circle is filled with chiverre honey, making sure to seal it properly.
Step 6 : Place the empanadas on a tray and glaze them with a mixture of egg yolk and a little water.
Step 7 : Next, bake the empanadas at the appropriate temperature for about 20 minutes, or until they are golden and ready to be enjoyed.
