1 cup of Water

1 Butter stick

1 cup of Flour

5 Eggs

1 Panela for the honey

Preparation

Step 1 : In a pot, bring water and butter to a boil until the butter melts.

Step 2 : Reduce the heat and add the flour, mixing well.

Step 3 : Incorporate the eggs one by one, beating the mixture until smooth.

Step 4 : Using a spoon, form portions of dough that are fried in hot oil.

Step 5 : Place the fried buñuelos on absorbent paper to remove excess grease.

Step 6 : In a separate saucepan, melt the honey with cloves and cinnamon.

Step 7 : When the honey is hot, dip the buñuelos and let them cook for 25 minutes.

Step 8 : Remove the buñuelos from the heat and let them rest in the honey for several hours.

Step 9 : Before serving, drain lightly and serve on orange leaves to enhance their flavor.
