Plantain Arepas
Ingredients
10 Peeled cooked plantains
½ cup of Sweet cream
2 Eggs
½ teaspoon of Salt
¼ cup of Finely chopped onion
4 tablespoons of Flour
½ teaspoon of Baking powder
½ cup of Ground cheese
Preparation
Step 1 : In a processor, place the previously cooked and still hot plantains along with the rest of the ingredients, except the onion.
Step 2 : Process the mixture until a homogeneous texture is obtained.
Step 3 : Once processed, add the onion and stir with a hot spoon to completely integrate it.
Step 4 : In a well-greased skillet, add spoonfuls of the batter and flip until golden brown on both sides.
Step 5 : Serve the dish hot at room temperature, accompanied by some cold picadillo or guacamole.
