Empanadas de engrudo
Ingredients
1 ½ pound of Flour
½ pound of Sugar
3 teaspoons of Lard or butter
4 Eggs
1 teaspoon of Salt
1 teaspoon of Baking powder
½ pound of Cheese
4 Cloves
Achiote
Sour cream
Preparation
Step 1 : In a skillet, melt a little butter and dissolve the achiote.
Step 2 : Then, add the other ingredients to the skillet and mix until a sticky dough forms.
Step 3 : Let the dough rest for a while.
Step 4 : Then, form balls with the dough and flatten them to shape the empanada.
Step 5 : Make a paste to seal the empanadas.
Step 6 : Finally, place the empanadas on a baking sheet and bake at 250 ºC for 30 minutes.
