Chicken Empanadas
Ingredients
2 cups of Corn flour
1 Chicken broth packet
1 ½ cup of Water
2 Chicken breasts
2 Garlic cloves
1 Small onion
1 Sweet pepper
2 Small tomatoes
1 pinch of Salt
Lizano sauce
Vegetable oil for frying
1 pinch of Pepper
Preparation
Step 1 : In a large bowl, mix the corn flour with the chicken broth and add water, mixing until a smooth dough is obtained.
Step 2 : Set aside.
Step 3 : For the chicken filling, cut the chicken breast into small pieces, cut the onion and tomato into small pieces, and chop the garlic and chili.
Step 4 : Then, in a skillet with oil, sauté the garlic and onion, add the chicken and sauté with salt, pepper, and Lizano sauce until cooked.
Step 5 : Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 6 : In another pan, heat oil to fry the empanadas.
Step 7 : To assemble the empanadas, cut a plastic bag in half and place one layer on a plate.
Step 8 : Take a little dough, form a ball the size of the palm of your hand, place it on the bag, and flatten it with another plate.
Step 9 : Add the filling in the center, fold the bag in half, and press along the edges to close the empanada.
Step 10 : Fry the empanadas in hot oil on both sides until golden and crispy.
