Lizano Sauce or Lizano Sauce is a Costa Rican condiment made from fresh vegetables and natural seasonings. It was developed in 1920 when Mr. Lizano created this tasty new sauce at his home in Costa Rica.

Lizano Sauce was the result of an exquisite blend of vegetables and natural seasonings that Mr. Lizano selected to create the unique flavor and aroma of the sauce. And it contains no artificial flavorings or colorings.

The exact recipe of Lizano Sauce remains a secret. But the ingredients of Lizano Sauce include water, vinegar, sugar, salt, black pepper, cumin, mustard, turmeric, and fresh vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, cauliflower, and onion.

With a sweet, slightly spicy flavor borrowed from black pepper and cumin, there is really no substitute for Lizano Sauce.

Originally manufactured and produced by the Lizano Company, Lizano Sauce is now a product of Unilever.

This uniquely flavored sauce is produced in a factory in Costa Rica. Factory workers help prepare various components of the sauce, but none of them knows the complete recipe.

It is said that only the sauce master has access to the entire recipe to keep the secret.

In Costa Rica, you can buy a bottle of Lizano Sauce in a wide range of sizes and containers, including half-gallon plastic jars.

Lizano Sauce is used to prepare many dishes and is almost always found on restaurant tables. The sauce is most commonly used in traditional Costa Rican dishes such as gallo pinto (a dish of beans and rice fried together) and tamales.

If the truth is known, Lizano Sauce is added or poured over almost everything in Costa Rica. It has quickly become part of the culture, and many say that once you've tasted it, you can't get enough of it.
